Meaning of your name...........

Instructions: What you do is find out what each letter of your name
means. Then connect all the meanings and it describes YOU. (Its
TRUE!!) (Isn't it GREAT!!)

PS: If you have double or triple letters, just count the meaning once.

For Example
- RAHUL
R -You are a social butterfly.
A - You can be very quiet when you have something on your mind.
H -You are not judgmental.
U -You feel like you have to equal up to people's standards.
L -Love is something you deeply believe in.

LANGAR: Do we understand what Seva should be?

This is what a Sikh's langar should be and not what we do. We feed our
already overfed stomachs; and than pack some more and take it home!!!

I am told about one couple, wife goes to one Gurdwara and Husband to
another, they check what is there for langar, speak on the mobile and
decide what the wife will carry home and what Husband will bring home.
Greed seems to have no limits!

Why blame the world if they think we are not worth any respect?
Respect has to be earned not demanded.

Gurbani lays great emphasis on Self-Introspection (Aatamcheenh). Lets
first see what we are doing.

Guru Nank Dev ji started langar for "bhookay Sadhu" and also we ought
to recall the sakhi of Malik Bhago and Bhai Lalo.

Lets all resolve to be of a stature that the world at large respect
GURSIKHS. Then there will be no more jokes.

We can do it, its not difficult.

"Father : I want you to marry a girl of my choice
Son : I will choose my own bride!
Father: But the girl is Bill Gates’s daughter.
Son : Well, in that case… ok!
...Next Father approaches Bill Gates.
Father: I have a husband for your daughter.
Bill Gates: But my daughter is too young to marry!
Father: But this young man is a vice-president of the World Bank.
Bill Gates: Ah, in that case… ok
Finally Father goes to see the president of the World Bank.
Father: I have a young man to be recommended as a vice-president.
President: But I already have more vice-presidents than I need!
Father: But this young man is Bill Gates’s son-in-law.
President: Ah, in that case… ok!""

Planning is Important

One Night 4 college students were playing till late night and could not study for the test which was scheduled for the next day. In the morning they thought of a plan. They made themselves look as dirty with grease and dirt. They then went up to the Dean and said that they had gone out to a wedding last night and on their return the tire of their car burst and they had to push the car all the way back and that they were in no condition to appear for the test.
So the Dean said they could have the re-test after 3 days. They thanked him and said they would be ready by that time. On the third day they appeared before the Dean, the Dean said that as this was a Special Condition Test, all four were required to sit in separate classrooms for the test. They all agreed as they had prepared well in the last 3 days.

Self Appraisal

A little boy went to a telephone booth which was at the cash counter of a store and dialed a number.
The store-owner observed and listened to the conversation:

Boy : "Lady, Can you give me the job of cutting your lawn?
Woman : (at the other end of the phone line) "I already have someone to cut my lawn."

Boy : "Lady, I will cut your lawn for half the price than the person who cuts your lawn now."
Woman : I'm very satisfied with the person who is presently cutting my lawn.

Business is Business

I'll give 10 pounds to the child who can tell me who was the most famous man who ever lived."
An Irish boy put his hand up and said, "It was St.Patrick."
The teacher said, "Sorry Paddy, that's not correct."
Then a Scottish boy put his hand up and said, "It was St. Andrew."
The teacher replied, "I'm sorry, Hamish, that's not right either."
Then a Jewish boy put his hand up and said "David"
the Buddhist boy said "Gautama Buddha"
and the Muslim boy said "Mohammed".
They all were not successful.
Finally, a Gujju boy raised his hand and said, "It was Jesus Christ."
The teacher said,"That's absolutely right, Jignesh, come up here and I'll give you the 10 pounds that I promised."
As the teacher was giving Jignesh his money, she said,"You know Jignesh, since you're a Patel, I was very surprised
you said Jesus Christ."
Jignesh replied, "Yes. In my heart I knew it was Krishna, but Business is Business!"
